Let me ask you a question, dear readers.
When you read a novel and the story describes a character to you
as…
“She was a perfectly formed woman, with long flowing blond
hair, her eyes two blue pools, a narrow nose, and curved red lips. Her dress
flowed to her ankles with a high waist and silver clasp. Her personality was
that of a fair-weather friend; glad to see you to your face, even charming, but
gossiping behind others backs. Her way to success was climbing over and
trampling those who stood in her way.”
Do you see a beautiful woman in this description?
What about this one?
“She was a plump woman of average height. Brown hair with a
few wisps of grey; wrinkles around the eyes from smiling, and callous hands
from tolling work. She was gentle and kind, always taking time for others, even
if it meant not getting done her days work.”
A person's character defines that beauty we see come through
the words on a page, not the physical. Isn’t it so in real life as well?
On my other blog, I wrote an article called Pretty Spots,

Would love comments on this!
